Sambac is derived from Sanskrit’s campaka, describing a heady mix of florals. Known to bloom its flowers at night, jasmine sambac has a greener profile compared to other jasmine varieties and at the same time has musky, animalic notes as well as undertones of honey and tea. Exotic and heady, there is a likening of jasmine sambac to other delicate white flowers such as gardenia and orange blossom which shares its balance in its floral complexity and refreshing greenness.
